Before we left Texas, we got a tip that Australians commonly serve ice cream with pancakes. An Australian neighbour confirmed it. A local Aussie restaurant in our area did it too. We weren't entirely sure if it was widespread practice or just a charming quirk — but that didn't stop us from using it as a full selling point to convince two kids to uproot their lives and move to Sydney.
